Our Approach to Long Covid & Vaccine Injury

Our Nurse Practitioner attended a conference held by FLCCC in Dallas, TX April of 2023. The Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) has developed a protocol to address long COVID, a condition where individuals experience lingering symptoms after recovering from acute COVID-19 infection. Their protocol is multifaceted, aiming to alleviate symptoms and improve overall well-being.

The FLCCC incorporate the use of:

  1. Ivermectin: This antiparasitic medication has shown promise in reducing inflammation and viral replication in COVID-19 patients. It is recommended at a dose of 0.2 mg/kg per dose, typically given once a week.
  2. Corticosteroids: Medications like prednisone or dexamethasone may be prescribed to suppress inflammation in severe cases of long COVID, particularly when there's evidence of ongoing inflammation affecting the lungs or other organs.
  3. Antioxidants and Nutritional Supplements: Supplements such as vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc, and melatonin are recommended to support the immune system and reduce oxidative stress, which can be elevated in long COVID.
  4. Anti-inflammatory Diet: Adopting a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats while minimizing processed foods and sugars can help reduce inflammation and support overall health.
  5. Exercise: Gradual, gentle exercise is encouraged to improve cardiovascular fitness and reduce symptoms like fatigue and muscle weakness associated with long COVID.
  6. Sleep Hygiene: Establishing good sleep habits and addressing any sleep disturbances can be beneficial in managing symptoms and promoting recovery.
  7. Stress Management: Techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation exercises can help mitigate the impact of stress on symptoms and overall well-being.
  8. Monitoring and Follow-up: Regular monitoring of symptoms and follow-up with healthcare providers is important to track progress, adjust treatment as needed, and address any new concerns.
